Spring Caregiver & Me - 11 Fridays (Ages 3-5) $22/Weekly Payment Plans
Join us every Friday for our seasonal caregiver and me nature class, where children ages 2 to 6 and their grown-ups adventure side-by-side in the great outdoors. Each week is inspired by the rhythm of the seasons and guided by curiosity, connection, and wonder. Together you’ll learn about a variety of wilderness skills, such as snake identification, trail safety and more, gardening and harvesting, a new nature focus each week, hiking, and animal and insect studies, campfires, time with goats, and deepening our connections with the Earth. This is a welcoming and joyful space for families to explore and learn together, building confidence and community in the natural world.
This program is best suited for ages 3-5, but ages 2-6 and infant siblings are welcome.
(Early Childhood Course) -This is a 100% outdoors rain or shine class where a caregiver must participate and attend all classes with the child. Our “Caregiver & Me courses are designed for the teacher to invite you and your child to participate in hands-on learning activities focused around nature exploration, and a variety of wilderness skills. Activities are always optional and never forced. This class is designed for caregivers to assist and participate WITH the child through this educational experience— hence “Caregiver & Me.” If you are more interested in a course where your child can receive one-on-one time with a teacher, rather than the caregiver focused, please see other programs or email us for more options! This class is designed to broadly cater to ages 2-6. If your child is 5 or older and confident in drop-off courses, we recommend joining our wild school programs as they will likely provide more stimulation for them. If your child is 2 or almost 2, but you’re not sure about their hiking abilities or nature confidence, we recommend a trial class or drop-in class to see if it is a good fit prior to registering. In this course, you may learn about encountering wildlife, trail safety, dangerous plants, foraging, motor skills development, counting and numbers practice, emotional intelligence, exploring the senses, kindness and compassion, our native ecosystem, environmental conservation, practical and sustainable life skills, science, engineering, art, and more! Each class typically includes a welcome song, story that introduces the focus or theme of the day, a BYO snack for story time, a brief lesson with discussion and interactive activities, a hike with objectives that caregivers and the child are invited to focus on, crafts, opportunity to use nature exploration tools, and more!
!!!!Return/Cancellation Policy!!! Because our programs are by demand, all registrants must be confident that they can attend all class dates and weather-related make-up dates listed. Weather-related make-up dates are typically the next two weeks following the final class date listed. Make-up classes are not provided unless there has been a class cancellation from our end. This is solely because our classes are by demand. We hope that in the future, this will be a service we can provide. Please speak with your teacher to see if there’s room in other classes that you may be able to drop into. There are no exceptions for returns and cancellations because when you hold a spot, it takes away the opportunity for our school to get funds elsewhere, and it removes the opportunity for another family to register. Thank you for understanding. For extenuating circumstances, please contact us via email
